Could Apple's Next iPhone Arrive In June?

here are lots of speculations around Apple and its upcoming iPhone, especially now that the iPad rumors have settled down. Some say a summer release is possible while others look further down the road hinting towards a Q4 announcement.

However, in a video interview, a Foxconn recruiter might have unintentionally spilled the beans on Apple's plans. This, of course, if the said person is one of the few who know about the actual plans Cupertino has. The recruiter said that the plant was looking to hire some 18,000 workers for "the fifth-generation phone" (Apple phone, that is) which he expects to be out in June. An announcement in the sixth month of the year is certainly possible, given the previous track record Apple has when it comes to the iPhone (though the iPhone 4S broke that habit with its October event). We'll let you know as soon as we find out more!

Steve Jobs working on the next-gen iPad and iPhone from his home

Steve Jobs may be on a medical leave, but according to people familiar with the matter, this doesn't stop him from working on the next-gen iPhone and iPad.

According to these sources (as cited by WSJ), he is still "closely involved in the company's strategic decisions and product development", with the iPad 2 and iPhone 5 specifically named among these products.

It's worth noting that the last time Jobs requested a leave on medical grounds, Apple's COO Tim Cook stepped in, and during his tenure as Apple CEO, the company's stock rose 78%.

Report: Next Generation iPhone To Sport NFC Technology

NFC technology, or Near Field Communication, is really expected to take off this year. It's that system that intends to turn your smartphone into a full fledged wallet you can just waive at a sensor and have it pay your bill. We've seen it exist on current generation Smartphones like the Nexus S, though the technology is still not as popular as to really take advantage of the service just yet. A cool rumor that's been floating around though, is that the next generation iPhone, and even the next iPad will sport this technology upon release.

According to Bloomberg:

The main goal for Apple would be to get a piece of the $6.2 trillion Americans spend each year on goods and services, Crone said. Today, the company pays credit-card processing fees on every purchase from iTunes. By encouraging consumers to use cheaper methods — such as tapping their bank accounts directly, which is how many purchases are made via PayPal — Apple could cut its own costs and those of retailers selling Apple products.

Our biggest bet is that Apple is a mixed bag when it comes to innovation. They are either the first company to offer things, or they'll chose to be the last if competition is already playing with it. Cases like the first generation iPhone where Apple was first in offering lots of stuff, really becomes shady when we try to remember how long it took them to figure out Multi-tasking. So yeah, the fact that the Nexus S is already equipped doesn't sound that good.

In the end, these are just assumptions, so our advice is that you check out the release of the next generation iPad in February and use that event as a reference. Not sure I'll be a fan of NFC when I forget my phone at a restaurant, but it's still something nice to have.

Up coming Apple Devices (iPhone5 & iPad2)

So, AppleInsider has some new info on Apple's successor to the A4, which we were talking up last week, and our sources say it's spot on. Specifically, AI claims that Apple is moving to dual-core SGX543 graphics, up from the A4's single SGX535 GPU (also known as the PowerVR 535). What's particularly great about this move is that the graphical power improvement is rated at around 4X the current generation -- which makes a true 4X resolution iPad "Retina Display" upgrade seem much more of a possibility. We're also starting to see 1080p HDMI video output as a "default" spec in this year's generation of devices, so there's no reason Apple will want to be left out -- particularly in the Apple TV -- and these dual graphics cores could handle that easily. The same cast of A4 characters are to credit for this new A5 generation, including the Apple-owned Intrinsity and PA Semi, while Samsung will again do the production duties. But details aside, we're just excited to play around with all this new horsepower when it hits -- apparently the PSP 2 is rumored to use the same graphics architecture with even more cores. Isn't Moore's law a grand thing?

I have collect some info from around the net.. we will see new scheme for iphone5 and dual core for both ipad2 and iPhone5 and will be ARM Cortex-A9 possible Qualcomm
