New Samsung Galaxy S Hoppin Doubles as Set Top Box

South Koreans will soon have a new Galaxy S device to buy from Samsung: the "Hoppin". This device is much like the Galaxy S we already know: it has a 4" Super AMOLED WVGA display, it runs Android, has a Hummingbird CPU with 512MB of RAM, and so on. The story with the Hoppin is that work as a TV set top box. Don't get too excited, though, because really what we have is a phone that features TV-out capability plus an application that lets you rent movies and other multimedia content (similar to the functionality you get through Samsung Hub on Galaxy S devices in the US). The interesting part comes when you connect the Hoppin to a television: you get a custom made-for-TV interface that makes it easy to browse through your phone's content.
