3D Nvidia Tegra 2, Quad-Core Tegra 3 Tipped for MWC Launch

Nvidia is planning to release both a 3D-capable version of its dual-core Tegra 2 system-on-a-chip this year, as well as a next-generation, quad-core "Tegra 3" chipset, according to an alleged roadmap making the rounds. Both Techeye as well as Brighter Side of News seem to have acquired a slide from the company's upcoming presentation at Barcelona's Mobile World Congress next month, which reveals an AP25 Tegra 2 model with dual 1.2GHz cores and a quad-core AP30 capable of pushing 1366 x 768 pixels on a smartphone. The highest-resolution handset on the market right now is the iPhone at 960 x 640, soon to be nearly matched by the Motorola Atrix 4G (a current-gen Tegra 2-powered model) and its 960 x 540 qHD display. The tablet version of the Tegra 3 is listed as maxing out at four 1.5GHz cores, but it's not clear if that clock speed will be matched by the dedicated phone silicon
